Electronic Hand Controls

Electronic hand controls are designed to make acceleration easier to manage through responsive, hand-operated controls. By using electronic input for acceleration, these systems can help reduce the effort required to operate your vehicle. Our mobility specialists can help you explore options suited to your abilities, preferences, and driving needs.

Prescription Required for Many Driving Aids

Many adaptive driving aids require a prescription or recommendation from a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) before they can be purchased and professionally installed. Requirements can vary depending on the equipment and the individual driver’s needs.

Our mobility consultants can help you understand the process and determine the next steps. Contact your nearest Superior Van & Mobility location for a free consultation.

FeatherLite Brake Lock (EBL)

An electronic push-button brake lock for compatible FeatherLite controls. It holds the brake without continuous hand pressure and includes a manual override for mechanical activation or release.

EMC AEVIT 2.0

A modular advanced electronic driving system that can integrate customized input devices for acceleration, braking, steering, and secondary vehicle functions. Its plug-and-play design allows the system to be reconfigured if a driver’s needs change.

FeatherLite Push/Twist (FL4 / FL8)

A motorcycle-style electronic-assist control that brakes when pushed toward the dashboard and accelerates with a twisting motion. An auxiliary handle makes the twist easier and more comfortable for longer drives.

FeatherLite Push/Rock (FL1 / FL5)

An electronic-assist Push/Rock hand control that brakes when pushed toward the dashboard and accelerates when rocked toward the floor. It connects directly to the vehicle’s electronic throttle and eliminates the mechanical gas rod.

FeatherLite Push/Right Angle (FL2 / FL6)

A short-stroke electronic-assist hand control that brakes when pushed toward the dashboard and accelerates when the handle is pulled down toward the driver’s lap. The main body and brake rod remain stationary during acceleration.

FeatherLite Push/Pull (FL3 / FL7)

A short-stroke electronic-assist Push/Pull control that brakes when pushed toward the dashboard and accelerates when pulled toward the driver. Its angled handle and pivot location provide leverage with very little accelerator resistance.
