The BraunAbility Power Fold-Out Dodge Caravan wheelchair-accessible van has both power sliding side doors and a ramp. The doors and ramp are operated using the factory key fob or switches inside the cabin. If you experience a power failure, the ramp can still be easily operated manually.
The fold-out wheelchair ramp is 29.25 inches wide and made of lightweight aluminum with a load capacity of 1000 pounds.
To reduce the ramp angle and make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle, every BraunAbility Power Fold-Out Dodge Caravan handicap van features an automatic “kneeling” system. When deploying the ramp, the computer activates an actuator mounted on the vehicle’s rear passenger side. Once engaged, the actuator lowers the van’s ramp side, thus reducing the ramp angle. You can also turn off the kneeling system if desired.
The BraunAbility Power Fold-Out Dodge Caravan wheelchair-accessible van has front seats that are easily removed. Removing these seats allows the wheelchair user to drive from his/her chair or ride as a passenger up-front. The seats are easily unlocked at the base, rolled away for easy storage, and can be reinstalled anytime.
