VMI Summit, Toyota Sienna Wheelchair Accessible Van

This model is only available in model years prior to 2021. A version for the Toyota Sienna hybrid has not yet been developed.

The VMI Summit Toyota Sienna wheelchair van has one of the largest interior spaces and headroom of any wheelchair-accessible minivan conversion. The Summit is integrated with full power, fold-out ramp system. It features 8.5 inches of additional floor length over its closest Toyota wheelchair van competitor to accommodate the largest wheelchairs.

The VMI Summit Toyota Sienna wheelchair van is engineered with up to 1.5 inches of additional ground clearance than its competitors to reduce scraping. Click here for additional buying tips.

Automatic Door And Ramp Operation

The Summit conversion features a power, fold-out ramp system with high side rails to allow a safer entry and exit. The ramp is made from a high-strength aluminum alloy and can support loads up to 750 lbs.

Automatic Kneeling Feature

Every VMI Summit Toyota Sienna wheelchair van conversion features an automatic, integrated “kneeling” system to reduce the ramp angle and make it easier for wheelchair users to enter and exit. The kneeling system activates when the deploy ramp command is initiated. Once the actuator is engaged, it lowers the van’s ramp side closer to the ground, thus reducing the ramp angle.

Removable Front Seats

The obstacle-free front seats are easy to remove and can be used to create multiple seating arrangements for the wheelchair user and his/her passengers. With both seats removed, the space is large enough to accommodate two wheelchairs side-by-side if needed.

Corrosion Resistant Floor

All VMI Summit Toyota Sienna wheelchair vans have floors that are E-coated for optimal rust and corrosion prevention.

Headroom And Lowered Floor

The floor from just behind the firewall to the third-row seat in the Summit wheelchair van is lowered 14.9 inches to create the industry’s largest headroom. This drop in the floor also creates a door opening height of 57 inches, making the VMI Summit Toyota Sienna wheelchair van conversion an ideal solution for those sitting tall in their chair.
