The hoist type wheelchair & mobility scooter lift works similar to a crane.
An interior lift has an arm called a boom. The boom extends from the base of the lift and has a nylon strap that attaches to your mobility equipment. As the lift operates, the boom must be rotated in or out of the vehicle to safely navigate the placement or removal of your device. This rotation is performed manually or under power based on the model of lift.
A hoist lift can be mounted inside the rear hatch of a minivan or SUV, in the trunk of a car, or in the bed of a truck.
A hybrid wheelchair lift or mobility scooter carrier operates like an exterior platform lift. However, instead of lifting & storing your mobility equipment on the rear of your vehicle, it holds your device inside the rear hatch.
The hybrid lift is the easiest means of loading your mobility device.
First, a user drives their mobility device onto a platform securing it in place. Next, the user uses a remote pendant to lift & stow their mobility device in the rear hatch of their vehicle. It’s that easy!
The Harmar AL215 is a light duty power lift. Note: Boom rotation is manually operated. Features a highly adjustable base and boom height.
The AL225 is also a light duty lift similar to the AL215, but the difference is that the boom rotation function is power operated.
The Harmar AL425 mobility scooter lift & power wheelchair lift is a compact, popular hoist style lift with both a power lift and boom rotation.
The Harmar AL425HD is the heavy duty version of the AL425. The lifts are nearly identical in operation except the AL425HD has a larger lift capacity.
The Harmar AL435 features a 10.8-inch power-extending boom that adds lifting distance where bumper clearance might be an issue.
The AL435T is similar to the AL435, but it’s designed for pickup trucks where extended clearance is needed to clear tailgate distance. Lift is also weather resistant and features a 400 lbs. lift capacity.
The Harmar AL825 is a medium-duty lift designed for standard and extended-cab pickup trucks. It has a power lift and boom rotation and is weather-resistant.
The Harmar AL825CC is designed for use in crew cab pickup trucks and the transportation of manual wheelchairs and small power wheelchairs.
The Harmar AL815CC is designed for use in crew cab pickup trucks and the transportation of manual wheelchairs and small power wheelchairs. This hoist has a power lifting and rotation function.
The Harmar AL835 is designed for standard & ext. cab pickup trucks. Lift features both power lifting & boom rotation. Lift is weather resistant.
